Shooting on Christmas Eve

December 24th, 2008

The best way to spend the holidays! Ritch took me shooting for Christmas. It was a fantastic experience. We found an free outdoor range (Google Map) down in Case Grande, AZ, about 30 minutes from our neighborhood. He let me shoot his Springfield Armory .40 pistol. Its the pistol I have been dreaming about for several months now. It shoot very well. Its definitely the gun I want to buy. Ritch gave me some pointers on shooting, which tightened up my grouping. Ritch took some photos and a video. When I get them I will post them.

Ryan and Carolyn’s Wedding – December 12, 2008

December 16th, 2008

Ryan and Carolyn’s wedding went very well. It was very pretty and we could tell Ryan and Carolyn loved it. I will add some photos to the gallery when I get them off of my mom’s camera. I took 45 minutes of video, including the ceremony, the speeches, and the first dances. As soon as I get them converted, I will try and post them.

Vitamin D vs. the Flu

December 16th, 2008

A health concious friend of mine sent me a link regarding recent research of the effects of Vitamin D and general diseases. I have always been sceptical of the flu shot. The flu virus mutates so quickly, the medical community has to guess where it will mutate in order to produce enough “vaccine” for the population. There is no way I trust the medical community to statistically guess correctly, I’ve seen how they determine “correlation” and “dependence”.

Are you getting enough vitamin D?

Anniversary and Thanksgiving

December 2nd, 2008

This year, Aubrey and my anniversary landed on Thanksgiving. We have been married for 4 years (together for 9). We started the day by walking (Eddie and I jogged) a 5k with Aubrey’s Stroller Strides friends. Then we headed back to cook the fine meal. While the food was cooking, we played frisbee and even had a nice game of Ultimate (Ed and Bill vs. Eddie, Holley, and me). Both kids handled the disc very well. The food was tasty, almost as good as the company.
